RPM is located in the tenement’s South and comprises of:
- The RPM North Deposit – 820 koz @ 0.8 g/t Au – 340 koz Measured & Indicated & 480 koz Inferred Mineral Resource
- The RPM South Deposit – 420 koz @ 0.4 g/t Au Inferred Mineral Resource
- Site for another potential processing plant on a flat plain approximately 5 km North of RPM to process ore from the deposits within the area, which is currently the subject of a PFS level trade-off study
- The RPM and Train areas are the highest priority resource targets and the focus of ongoing economic mining studies for 2023
- RPM is ideally located as heavy haul trucks will be going up empty and coming down full on the proposed haul road which is expected to further reduce costs and maintenance. In addition Estelle’s waste rock is suitable for road and infrastructure material
Nova is advancing project and economic studies based on a development scenario involving a low cost, low strip ratio, open pit with truck and shovel mining operation. The Scoping Study released in May 2023 included the high-grade RPM ore material being hauled and processed at the proposed 6mtpa Estelle central processing plant located at Korbel, but with the significant scope for major resource development at RPM and the recent exploration programs showing that the Train area prospects, including the new discovery at Trumpet, appear to be located on another very large Intrusive Related Gold System (subject to drilling in 2023), the case for another processing plant sited within the Southern area is growing even stronger.
With the Scoping Study now completed, PFS level trade-off studies will be used to investigate the possibility of establishing a standalone processing plant in the South for the initial years, with another processing plant to be commissioned at Korbel in the later years.
